SAMMY MY BABY

Last night Samuel did something that made me beat him so bad.

Picking up Samuel's dad a stone throw from mine, we together went to pick up Samuel from school.

After two blocks away from his school compound, he asked, 'Mummy why do you hate me, why do you always shout at me even when am playing with other kids, you speak harshly to me? Yesterday I saw you with Dami playing and laughing with her, but you have never laughed with me... all you do is say bad things to me.'

Samuel's daddy looked back where Samuel sat with his eyes open and his hands describing all his words. He turned back to continue reading his newspaper without paying attention at all.

Samuel continues... 'Mummy you even shout at daddy... don't you like us..don't you love us? You smile and love other children more than me and daddy..

Oh my God.. those words hit me like a big rock... I need to stop this car.. Sammy what are you saying?

'Mummy, Mummy ,Yes, its the truth' he says louder with tears in his eyes.

I stopped, opened the back door, pulled him out and hugged him.'Baby, I don't hate you, I love you, and I love my family...I love your daddy..please don't think that way.. I apologize if I have been acting that way. Going back to my sit, I faced my husband,'Baby, please forgive me if I have acted so bad to you...I love you so dearly...Then we kissed so passionately until Samuel interrupted .'Ok ok ok can we go now...'
